If the US reduced its troops in Iraq and as a replacement let in some more european troops, the resistance wouldn't stop, and nothing would be changed regarding the losses of iraqi-civilian lifes, either through US-bombardments or terrorist-activities. But on top of that the US would have more free troops that can be used to liberate other anti-US-countries, and consequentially multiply the damage.

Do you actually pay attention to anything that is posted in response to you? It's the OIL for FOOD Programme not the Food for Oil Programme. How many times do you have to make the same stupid mistake? Secondly, you are PLAIN WRONG with your statement that the countries who opposed the war were the ones involved in the OFFP. Absolutely and completely wrong. Countries that were for the war including the United States of America and the United Kingdom were involved in the OFFP. American citizens and a British Member of Parliament on the list that Chalabi miraculously recovered from the Oil Ministry.

Once again you're absolutely clueless and buying into the Republican smear machine that got Clinton and that went after Kerry. Kofi Annan's son left the Swiss company that got the contract to check compliance with the rules of the OFFP before they got the contract. Like virtually any employee of any company, he had a non-compete clause in his employment contract which prevented him from working for any competitors for a specified period of time. Under Swiss law (and Switzerland is no different to many other jurisdictions), you have to give consideration for taking away someone's ability to ply his trade. Annan's son received the statutory minimum amount that you have to pay someone when you have a non-compete. That is the only link between the son and the Swiss company.

You're naive if you actually believe Saddam was not funding terrorist. He was paying off people's surviving relatives $25,000 for a family member who becomes a human bomb in Israel.
You realise that Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt all do precisely the same thing?

I call. Show me the quote where he used the words "imminent threat".
