This is like a new form of online polling or something?

I like the usability and the design, but I don't like the URL. It's clever, but it takes a second to a get it, and that second is important in remembering URL's. Then again, I might just be dumb.
But definetely on everything else .

I, on the other hand, love the URL.

As I said, I'm probably just dumb. But it confused me.
off/lang, do you expect to make a profit? It definitely looks like it has growth potential. It remeinds me of "ask the audience" on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
Some suggestions:
1) People hate registering for things. One way to grow in popularity, and to differentiate yourself from forums such as this one, and services such as http://ask.yahoo.com (which has no polling, so it's not really the same), would be to allow anyone to ask a question. Granted, there would be huge spam and content issues, but it's just an idea.
2) I'd consider having an alias at dearinternet.com. It's a dumber name, but it's easier to tell people that URL when they aren't at a computer.
3) You might want to give people more incentive to tag and vote. For example, a registered member who has tagged a certain amount or voted a certain amount will have a question that is more visually grabbing (a different color, for example).
Really great work, though. It has a very natural flow .
Out of curiousity, what web technology are you using?

Thanks for commenting all.
Obi Wan, yeah we need to AJAX it up. We've got ideas, my partner, I think, will be doing most of that.
tavilach, you suggestions are all good ones and warrant further thought. We're thinking towards your third suggestion. Watch for some meta voting in the future.
We've built it using turbogears. It has mostly been a pleasure to use.
