G4 & OS-X Hard Drive Limitations?

I was looking for a new hard drive for my G4 and was told by Seagate that G4's cannot access over 120 GB. I'm not sure I believe this but wanted to find out the limitations...if any.

For machines before the MDD G4, it's technically 137GB, so 120GB is the largest HD you can fully use.

Unless you buy a separate IDE controller card, then you can overcome the barrier.

I just purchased the Sonnet tempo ATA-133 card from other world computing (macsales.com). I've now got a 160 gb drive in my old b/w.
