Hello everyone,
MacAddict just give The Mouse (cord) a Awesome rating on the March 2004 issue. I went to MacMice's website and checked it out. While I really like the mouse, I really don't want a cord mouse, so I e-mailed them and ask if there is any chance they will be making a wireless or even bluetooth The Mouse. I didn't have my hopes up but when they e-mailed me back, I was suprised!!!
Here's what they wrote back:
The Mouse BT
Alkaline battery
On-off switch
Same size/shape as The Mouse USB
White/black/"aluminum" colors
April 1, 2004
MSRP $69.99
Jack Campbell, President

Now here's something not many people has heard of if any at all! A bluetooth verson is already at work and will be out for sale on April 1st! They also wrote me back again just now and told me they will be announcing it toward the end of March.
You heard it from me first!
I can't wait!!!

I'm being offered 70 bucks to edit a paragliding video of my neighbor. I will be buying that mouse when it comes out using that money. Can't wait!

Hmm - I wouldn't let go of the money before the mouse was at my table!
One of many post on Campbell
But good luck if you're willing to try.

It would be best to be remain wary of Jack, but it is interesting he has both shut-up his ranting and has actually got full-fledged distribution for his product. Product which I can't seem to find $30 cheaper somewhere else like the original MacMouse.
If this continues, we may be able to lay off... but not yet!

I've read all the posts about Campbell's shady business practices, but it didn't stop me from ordering a SightFlex for my desktop and an iFlex for my notebook. Both arrived on time and are perfect for the iSight. I realize that some people don't want to support him, but you have to realize that there are plenty of companies out there who have used questionable practices that make a good product. Take Nintendo, they have done scumbag things, but I'm sure some of you still bought a Gamecube.
I'll certainly buy a macmice bluetooth mouse, I'm almost excited about it as I am Jevon Kearse playing for the Eagles.

I've also read MANY bad things about Jack Campbell...but MacMice I've only heard of praise.
So my guess is Mr. Campbell has made many mistakes and some really really bad ones. But MacMice seems to be pretty good.
