I think my iPod's developed consciousness. It starts rejecting songs for no reason, even after I change the tags. A few:

Don't Do Me Like That
Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast
Atom Heart Mother Suite
Cirrus Mirror
Speak To Me/Breathe
Shapes Of Things

This is really pissing me off. I can't listen to it anymore. I always go through this mess when I update. Every time I plug it in, it has to do that HD magnifying glass thing. After that, I restore it and cross my fingers. No luck all morning. I always get the -36 file corruption error. I know all of those songs aren't corrupt. It's a 3G 15GB one. I got it a year ago and it's given me **** for the last seven months. It also refuses to play many songs when they are on there. For some reason, I can listen to the Beatle's White Album, but not Sgt. Pepper. I can listen to Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath, but not Paranoid. This sounds like a hardware problem to me. I have a warranty, so should I hold out and wait to tell them that it's busted?

Yeah, but there's a chance it's not worth repairing and they'll replace it with a newer, more spacious one. If I wait for a few months until an update, I'll have a really good one. I need the room, since I just got about 300 CDs from someone.

Try a restore. You can also use Disk Utility to try and repair the drive.

Tried both awhile ago. I have to do the first one every time I plug it in, and I tried the second and it did nothing.

I'd take it in for repair/replacement then.

Ah, it appears that only ~440MB of space is usable. It's a trend I've noticed over the past week. First I thought it was stopping on the 7th song, but I changed the playlists that needed to be updated and it threw off my theory.

Somehow the other 13.45GB's are inaccessible. I doubt this is something software could help. Is this a sign of a bad HD or bad software?
