The slider is actually rendered with OpenGL on your graphics card, and if the card doesn't support pixel-perfect accuracy (not sure of the technical term here), you'll get blurriness. I've seen this on the MacBooks which has integrated graphics.

Works flawlessly on my 24" iMac though.
