I just got a logitech optical mouse with a scroll wheel and I installed the driver but I cant make the scroll button act like a back button.
Is there any software out there that allows me to perform such as task?
Thank you.

Most browsers (including Safari) will accept Command+Left Arrow as the back button. You should be able to do this with Logitech's software, I'm not on my Mac right now so I can't check. I have my thumb button setup as the back button, so I'd assume you can configure the scroll wheel to do it too.

That's one of my gripes with the Logitech Control app.
You can't make the buttons application specific. If you can I'm missing it.
I have my thumb button bring up my Home directory in the Finder but would like it to be a Back button in Safari.
I don't think you can program it in that way.

You're welcome. If you need more customization (per-application settings for instance) like vmpaul, check out USB Overdrive.

Thanks for the reminder.
I used to use USB Overdrive on an earlier version of OSX. It did what I wanted.
Then Logitech came out with their driver and I got used to to using that and never upgraded to the a newer USB Overdrive. No point now, at least till Panther comes out and USB updates for that.
I just thought if I mentioned it, maybe there was another way that I missed.
