I heard there was more "extras" that it comes with as well.
I also notice it has a 5 piece Prestige neck instead of the warping 1 piece neck it used to have.

I pretty sure I see a white with maple in that old catalogue though. Why the heck didn't they do some of those instead of the "nobody at all on the planet wants them" black?

I liked the black with maple board, but no rosewood. No respectable RG 550 should have a rosewood board. Atleast they did the DSY. They would have been chided had they not.

Exactly! And when you get your beautiful RGs you'll post pics of their DSY glory all over the forum for us to gawk at.

My thoughts exactly. I pretty much liked all the colours with the maple board. Maple, Edge, Wizard - job's a good 'un.

I'm not a big fan of Maple. While I loved my 91" RG I do like rosewood better. And S series.
The RG bodies are just TOO BIG for me.
