I was downloading a movie, I had enough free space on my hard drive.

Movie downloads about 90%, then encounters an "error". Now when I try to re-download it claims that I don't have enough space.

I went to the usage screen in my settings, and sure enough, there is less space available, and I have added no new apps or other media content.

I have reset my ipad (both buttons at once) to no avail.

Does anyone know how I might rectify this?

The iPad needs some of that memory for OS related data, this amount is variable.

The most obvious answer is to take something else off.
