A few years ago I kind of had a life. Well, I still have a life, I guess, just most of it is contained within this 24" aluminum devil in front of me. Anyway, I have to admit, I check the site for DL2 news about 4-5 times a week.

So, how often do other users check?

PS if DL2 is out by christmas that would be dope, because I can gift it to my significant other (she's not even digital).

I don't check the site at all. I merely subscribe to the forum, and wait for the notification to come to me (presuming, of course, that it is announced on the forum too, which I have no doubt it will be, in one or another).
