Didn't see a post about this, so I thought I'd make one. Controversial artist? Yeah, I didn't agree with everything he wrote, but the man had wicked talent and a passion for his art. So much of what he wrote stemmed from his anger over those turbulent times, an anger that in most ways was justified.
Many say he's the grandfather of modern rap, I say modern rappers can't grasp where he was coming from.
