I just noticed that my OS 9 system folder now shows up as an option in my "startup disk" prefpane on my 17" Powerbook. Under Jag, it doesn't show up. On a lark, I selected it and rebooted. The PB got as far as the OS9 style folder with a question mark in it.

I don't have OS 9 drivers on my HD so I didn't really expect to get any further than that. I have absolutely no interest in OS 9, but thought I would mention it in case someone else wants to mess around with it

It still won't boot. Panther doesn't do anything to enable OS 9 booting. The reason you're able to select it as a bootable OS is most likely due to a bug in Panther.
