I actually snort-laughed at that.

Which reminds me — I have really high hopes for this (YouTube link): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDj4zGFf4F8

One of my favorite comics ever. The Joker standard.

Hamill got on board after saying a few years ago (paraphrase), "I'll return to the character if anyone ever does The Killing Joke."

Zimmer's score, perhaps? Amy Adams

It was written poorly, edited poorly, had no sense of wonder or hope, just a complete mess.

Not even praise for the Batman segments? I've heard praise for both Affleck and the characterization of Wayne/Batman.

They were just "ok'. Nothing special. Let me put it this way - Affleck was good as Batman, but between the snooping and the brooding and the fighting, he didn't really have a chance to shine as the character. You could put anyone in the suit with a voice changer.

What was so memorable about Zimmer's score? Pretty generic sort of superhero stuff, and tiresome at that.

I thought Affleck portrayed a jaded and weathered sort of character pretty well. Bale was good at being intense and motivated, but he didn't seem quite as beaten down.

There absolutely needed to be a Batfleck movie before this one. Like, say, an actual theatrical release of The Killing Joke. It would have set up both BvS and Suicide Squad perfectly (and would have left more time in BvS for better pacing). A huge misstep by WB with >$1B left on the table.

That clip reawakened my anger.

I'm not easily offended, but this movie is genuinely offensive.

The first half of that is really good, but they can't really maintain the pace.

The closer is good.
