Hi all, I'm hoping to get some guidance here on how much I could get for my trusty machine with the following specs. I am considering selling. This machine has been in use, always in a non-smoking environment and has never given me any trouble, it's really been a great machine.

Powermac G4 Quicksilver (originally dual 800 mhz G4)
Upgraded CPU to Gigadesigns DUAL 1.8Ghz G4 (2457 i believe)
Max Ram at 1.5GB
ATI Radeon 256MB 9800
SATA card with 200GB sata drive
Pioneer dvr-110d dvd/rw
Leopard installed, and works well with the great graphics card.

I also still have the original dual 800 cpu's with heat sync, sell this separately?

Thoughts?
Thanks.

Great point. Nothing like opening a second hand Mac and find it pristine inside.

You have an incredibly upgraded QS, I fail to remember anything like that over here besides a MDD "ssharon" has. I think you could check how much would your QS be worth as from factory -without upgrades- here: Mac2Sell - Guide to used Mac - Evaluation - Argus Mac Occasion and then ask $250 over that…

Sure, upgrades are worth way more than that, but then you would find everyone and his mom yelling 'damn i could get a mac mini for less', we know that's not fair… it sucks when you see how much your investment goes downhill.

I'd be interested in the video card if you break up the system.

I thinkt there is no way to get e decent amount of money for the system. However, if you sell it as a standard QS and sell the parts you might get good money especially for the ATI card and the CPU upgrade. But also the SATA and DVD should be easy to sell
