Hey,
yes it kevin again the PC dying soon to be convert. . . lol

I heard or read some quote a while back somethign to the effect of
~"5% of computer users are apple but we are the top 5%"
anyone else hear this? know who its by? what the `meaning` behind it is? or if its true?

Yes, it is true. 5% of the market share belongs to Apple. Soon to change, of course.

I really think it will, all it took to make me drool and search my couches for pennies to buy a mac was a beautiful icebook at Circuit City, and even though they're no longer mac supplier, they changed my life. . . (*cry*)

thanks iCol, I knew it was something like that, do you or anyone else know what he means by "top 5%", like the most succesful,'rich',best computer users? but thanks for the quote!

what is means by top is that is an elite group of users, and that well yeah it is a good machine, and it is far above any other machine status.

I remember reading on Apple's website about a month ago that it is acutally around 3% right now *I think*. They said something along the lines of it is comparable to the percentage of Mercedes owners in the automobile market.

Kudos Apple.
