This may be a stupid question, but I've only been using a mac for a few months (iceBook).
Is there a key like the delete key on a PC keyboard? Something that will remove the character to the right instead of the left? Kind of a pain to arrow right, backspace...arrow right, backspace.

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

Cheers.

There's not one on the smaller keyboards like the iBook and the older "small" desktop keyboards, but I think the newer extended desktop keyboards may have one.

Yeah,, you need to invest $59 for that key. It's on the Pro Keyboard.

Thanks,
Does anyone know how to hack OS X into accepting a custom key combination? Could I program it to treat ctrl-delete as a PC delete key?
I looked in the keyboard screen in control panel, it was less then helpful. I think I miss that one button more then anything else about my PC (Other then Kazaa).

Hey! No need to hack or to buy anything!

Just use the combination : fn-delete and you get your forward delete

Took me a while to find that one.

To keep the hacking discussinon going here...

I know it is possible to hack keys on the keyboard (I just don't know how). I had someone make the enter key on my old Pismo a Command/Apple key (thank you Apple for putting 2 command keys on the new iBooks).

Anyone know links on how to do this??

Thanks
-Nick
