i dont live there!

but ive been there a couple times.
caught a show at gilman st.
ate the 2nd best falafel sandich of my life at some place just off telegraph.
had the single best latte of my entire life at some place, i think it was called harveys or...i dont remember. it wasnt near downtown, or campus..anyway. the kid who made it was wearing this weird bear hat so it looked like he had bear ears. when he handed it to me, he had swirled the foam on top into some weird heart shape type thing. it was amazing. it tasted even better. berkeley is cool. lots of people want your spare change there.

Actually, people's park is still there.

Kim's burrito's is still there, but pretty deserted, hidden, and downright scummy. Rumors of it being a meth lab circulate.

I have never dared to eat anything from there. How was it 10 years ago?

Because Apple HQ, and therefore Cupertino, and therefore CA, is the center of the universe and we must all worship Steve Jobs as our HOLY LORD!

Kim's was one of my favorite hole in the wall places to eat. The burritos were cheap, $4.00 for a burrito half the size of my forearm, and the korean couple who use to own the place always served us beer ( I was under age). The Koreans must have sold the place or started a nasty habit.

all i have to say is thank you to cal...youre the reason our(ucla) basketball team got a crazy player. (in a round-about way) after the cal game where dan gadzuric got elbowed in the face...for some reason he was really good after that game. i think the shot to the face turned him into gadzilla!

Shen Hua? Where is that?

As fobside commented - I.B. Hoagie's is my FAVORITe place to eat.

At least 3 days a week, I go there after work and pick up a reuben hoagie sandwich, along with a side of chili cheese fries with jalapenos on it.

The chili cheese fries are amazing - fat, mushy fries soaked with cheese and chili, with zesty jalapenos. I go there so much that the owner knows me - gives me the jalapenos for free sometimes (they cust $.30 extra I think). Whee.

Awesome place. If you're ever in Berkeley, I highly suggest you try their sandwich, plus the chili cheese fries.

Shen Hua is this awesome Chinese place on College avenue. Here's the full address:
2914 College Avenue, Berkeley, 510-883-1777
You can find a review in the East Bay express if you search at Google.

Locanda Olmo is also good, a great Italian restaraunt also on College.

I'm in Pleasanton. Does that count?

I don't know. I was forced to go to a football game in Oakland once. Raiders rule. Uh oh, now I die...

Well, I used to think the San Fransisco 49'ers ruled, but now I live closer to the Raiders, so... I suppose I will less-likely be killed for my football team preference if I stick to what the locals like.

I'm not really into it, myself.
