So how are things coming along over at the AI board? Have you encountered A LOT of bugs or has it been pretty easy going so far?

Bodhi, what a wise question. I hope MacNN has the wisdom to answer it.

At this point, the fault lies solely with Reprahduce. Against our better intentions (and knowledge) we chose to co-locate a pair of Cubes with them... we plan on running OS X, and then AI's boards from one of them. Reprahduce has offered us absolutely pathetic service; they have promised the Cubes "will be up today" each day for more than a week now. One of them is up--sort of--so we hope to get AI's boards up by the end of the weekend.

Sounds like a good deal, you get free Mac cubes. Which make good servers IMHO. But the first clue that they have a problem is their incredibly slow loading site.

So the AI boards will run on OSX? Is it stable enough for that?

We'll find out soon enough, Bodhi. And if there are problems, they'll hopefully be small enough that the Cube will at least allow the forums to stay up while we wait for the 1.2 GHz Athlon chip to arrive for our new Linux box (it's back-ordered).

Misha~

This will be very interesting. I am curious to see how the Cube AND OSX hold up, very interesting experiment here.

So by this weekend huh? Pretty damn cool.

Why? PC is perfect for doing crap work (like running a copy of UBB).

Intel by any chance?

I guess we don't see you on the boards much, don't have time to set around in your cube all day surfing the web anymore? It's not like that at intel of course?
