OK, so I was using my new PB 12" G4 in total silence and darkness today and when I opened it from sleep, about 1/4 of the way up, the LCD latch seems to squeak very faintly and slightly. Now I tend to get anal about new EXPENSIVE electronics, but I've never owned a notebook computer before - much less use one in silence. Is this squeak normal?

Also, when I used the pIxel check program to check for dead pixels, I noticed what appear to be 3 VERY tiny white dots. About the size of a pencil's tip. I really don't notice them on normal use or anything. I have to make my screen completely black and hunt for them. are these the dreaded white spots?

Thanks
Brian

well, the white tiny dots whent away. I used a q-tip with a little water (almost dry) and touched the dot and it went away. I guess it was just a droplet of saliva when a coughed. whew!
