I want to invest in something, and I'm looking towards AAPL. Would you guys buy now, or wait?

cramer (mad money) says buy. but who listens to that moron. if i am not mistaken a year or so ago he was saying DON'T buy apple. i know things change, but...
i've recently started investing again (after a long period of unemployment/underemployment) and i say WHY NOT. i mean, there are worse things you can do with your money right?
i do not own ANY apple shares, but buying one share of apple is certainly more of an investment than a month's worth of daily coffee and crumbcake at starbucks.

Are you totally out of your mind, buying shares at $81.00 Who buys shares at $81.00
They might get back at $60.00 or lower or even one day at $20.00
Never, never buy overpriced shares.

The dollar amount of a stock has no bearing on whether or not you should buy it.

I still shed a tear when the stock was at $8 (yes, $8!) about 5 years ago. I had £2000 about to invest, but couldn't get an international broker at the time.

AAPL was an awesome buy before the iPod, or at their IPO. From here on out in the long term, I'd say it is going to fall.

well, i keep hearing $100/share for apple (and that is ENTIRELY possible) ... just look at google they're pushing $500/share. if that's true then one share (apple) would appreciate close to $20/share.
i agree ... stock price has no meaning on whether to buy or not, but earnings and future stock appreciation do ...
so, if you think it will appreciate to $100 or hold at or above $80 then go for it. i doubt we'll ever see $60/share or even $20 unless the stock splits. which i doubt.

Wait for what, exactly? Doesn't look like Apple is sliding into a bigger crisis in short or medium terms...
- check the stock price/return ratio
- never invest into one company alone
- see stock of Microsoft, Juniper, Cisco...

Yeah, I'm just waiting for it to rise enough, and then split, so I can get 'em shares at half the price!1
