I was wondering if it is possible to share music files between two accounts onthe same computer using Safari? So that I would have only one music folder shared between two accounts? I already tried changing the permission on the folders but it still wont let me play the songs inthe other account.
Thanks

Have you checked the permissions on the files (not just the folder)?
Are the files in use by another account (or another application)?

Create a folder on the root of the drive (more or less) like /Volumes/Mac OS X/Music. Then it will be accessible to all local users.

Or perhaps in /Users/Shared, which exists for such purposes already?

Although I don't need to... since Jag I keep my MP3s in shared/music and alias it to my user music folder for iTunes. Should work for you.
Now... what does Safari have to do with this?

I share my iTunes library across accounts and operating systems (Jaguar and Panther) by using symlinks and setting the proper permissions. Get someone else to explain it if you have no idea what I'm talking about, I don't have the time to do it right now.
