I recall when Xcode 1.1 developer tools came out, Tomcat and JBoss were included as optional installs. Well, with Xcode 2, it seems that Tomcat and JBoss are no longer included as optional installs. From what I can tell from reading the Apple site, Tomcat and JBoss are only installed and supported on Tiger Server. I guess that makes sense for a server product, but it would be nice to develop for Tomcat and JBoss on Tiger Client using Apple supplied packages.

Dude, just download them and put them where you want them.

Some put them in /usr/local/

I put them in /Library/

They are both java apps, so what's the fuss?

BTW, I used JBoss on OS X since 2.4.2 --long before there was any Apple mention of JBoss.
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.
