I've been working on VLC for a couple of years and, for the last few days, I'm working on a new OpenGL video output to replace the current one (which uses QuickTime to render the picture on the screen). The basic work is done now but, although I'm quite an experienced C programmer, I'm a beginner about OpenGL and Altivec. Therefore, I'm looking for crazy OS X experts around here (I know there are ) who may help to increase performance.

i think maybe asking on omnigroup macosx-dev list might be a more successful effort.
