I recently had a power cut whilst shutting down my PC which resulted in the hard disc on my PC having to be re-formatted. I have now lost all of the 2000 or so songs from my iTunes library. Is there any way to override the protection on the iPod and copy my library back to the PC?

iPodRip is my favorite. Free trial; full featured for a limited number of uses, so good if you only need to do it a few time.

Many thanks for that one, I just checked out the link & it seems to do everything I thought was impossible. I'll try it out tonight.
