I installed Debian on my PowerMac G4/400 with a Radeon 8500 and am having difficulty getting X to work. Apparently its complaining about not being able to find any screens, saying that PCI:0:16:0 cannot be accessed (PCI/AGP Mach64). Is there a way to force X to use the radeon drivers instead of ati/Mach64? Or better yet, simply get XFree86 to work at all?

I picked Debian for the main reason they have active development for most platforms, PowerPC included. Documentation, however, is very sparse.
