Anything you guys recommend worth checking out ?

Out of Five:
Brain Age 2 **** It makes you smarter .. enough said?
Wario Ware ***** A pandoras box of mini games in your ds that make no sense but are yet so fun. (I think you can only buy it used though)
Kirby Squeak Squad *** Simple scroll based game where you suck up different enemies and acquire their "cool" powers. Short but sweet.
Tetris DS ****** Most Addicting game ever, you can play up to 10 people locally or 4 people online. Its like crack, seriously, you'll start dreaming of it after a while.
Worth Mentioning:
Any of the Castlevania series.
Mario Party DS

I can think of two off the top of my head: The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass and Polarium. Both are seriously good, and Polarium really is an under-appreciated gem--it quite often goes cheap pre-owned (I got mine for £7 a year and a half ago). I also highly recommend Advance Wars: Dual Strike.
Also, seeing as it's a DS, you can play Gameboy Advance games on it. I would be in serious remiss if I didn't recommend Orbital (part of the Bit Generations series), Golden Sun, and the Final Fantasies.

Recommendations:
• Star Fox Command
Lush backgrounds, great gameplay mechanics, and a variety of endings depending on how you choose to play.
• Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All
A thoroughly unique, entertaining, and challenging game. It will definitely absorb hours of your time.
• Sonic Rush
Classic 2D Sonic action. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The graphics are great, the gameplay is fast-paced, and the music is fun.
• Dementium: The Ward
A creepy FPS that works amazingly well on the DS. It's definitely worth the purchase.
• Bleach: The Blade of Fate
A 2D fighter that plays like an old school arcade game. It's a capital pick up and play game.

Thanks for the recommendations guys! I just got my girlfriend a DS and now I'm looking for some games to get. Definitely going to get New Super Mario and probably Tetris. I think my girlfriend was looking at that Professor Layton game online, I'll probably pick that one up too.

My favorite is Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass. Also:
New Super Mario Bros.
Phoenix Wright
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Final Fantasy III
I enjoyed the little I played of Elite Beat Agents.

so what exactly are you trying to say ? hehe
Is it just me or does this game's art style draw influences from Ghibli, Tintin and The Triplets of Belleville ?
Cheers

Can't speak for Days of Ruin, but Advance Wars Dual Strike is off the chain, worth getting a DS just to play this game.
