got a broken Mac mini for sale.

Mac mini
- 1.66 GHz Intel (probably a core solo, but not sure)
- 1GB RAM
- 60GB Hard Drive
- Combo Drive
- AP/BT installed

Just stopped booting... still powers up. Can't get it into option (multi- boot) screen or to any OS. A few times, it started up like it was in Windows mode saying no boot drive was found. But I can't seem to boot it off anything. I just gave up. My guess is it's either simple, or as bad as the logic board.

Comes with power adapter (which itself goes on ebay for $30+).

$100 shipped or best offer....

(BTW, also got some broken MacBook Pro's, broken and working PowerBook G4, working PowerMac G5's that I might list soon)

The wiped HD - does this mean the mini still works over FW Target Disk Mode? That would be encouraging news for both motherboard and CPU.

1.66GHz would be Core Duo, 1.5GHz was the only Core Solo.

Just to be sure, you weren't able to boot off of an install disc or an external drive, correct?

I pulled the drive to wipe it. I don't think it works in target disk mode... don't remember actually, will have to test it again. I troubleshot it months ago, then left it alone, just to remember to wipe the drive before I sold it... and I guess I just assumed I tried target disk mode before...

Tuoder, yes. Wasn't able to boot off a disc, external, internal, etc...

Thanks for your patience on this everyone... got so busy with the iPhone 4 launch and etc....

Anyway, nothing worked, diff keyboard, etc... But I ended up selling it locally for more than my asking price.

So thanks for the interest.

Got a couple other broken Macs I need to list if there's interest (PowerBook G4's, early model MacBook Pro's).

Early MBP, eh? I'd be interested, depending on the type of failure and the price.
