Nah, I've kept the 12" PB and I'm keeping the PowerMac...once I find a keeper, I stay with it, it just takes me awhile to find it.

The only thing that bugs me is you spend what.. 10k on comps.. and then turn around and get a $120 digicam exactly like mine o_O

Haha, yep, gotta love the budget-cam!
I actually originally purchased a cheap camera solely to take pics of items I listed on eBay to make my life easier, but soon realized I should've spent more since I ended up using it more...but ah well, it takes pictures.

Nah, most likely I'm gonna wait until August of next year when NC's tax free weekend rolls around again and order a Dual 3Ghz G5 through my education discount...Steve said 3Ghz within a year

I'm not buying it man (you are).
You were so jacked up about that 17" PowerBook, it sounded like you were going to mate with it. Next thing you know ... poof! Sold to the highest bidder!
There's a G5 probably already sitting somewhere with your name on it!

I shall prove you all wrong
I only parted w/ the 17" PB because I direly *needed* to. It'd be next to impossible to even use that thing in my classroom settings where deskspace is gold. The 12" PB isn't as fast, but it suits the purpose much better.

What did you do with your Cube? You haven't mentioned it. Mine is starting to have problems, but I don't need a G5 in tower form. I'm re-installing my software as I write this. I hope it fixes whatever is causing the kernel panics until something else is announced!

I got my Cube and sold it exactly one week later. All in all, I cleared about $600 on that machine...buying cheap & selling high is the way to go
Honestly though, it was just too slow. The 100Mhz front-side-bus and PC100 RAM bogged even the 800Mhz G4 upgrade down in it...I couldn't even play SoF II at a decent resolution w/ the details turned up like I like them w/o constant frame rate lag. Yeah, it was pretty, but the lack of speed marred it. However my Dual G4 is more than impressive, it's a wonderful machine.
