I downloaded this to use tweet deck, but it does not show up in my app folders or even on a search for it. Hence, I lost. Where did it download to? thanks.

It's not a program you run. It runs behind the scenes with Adobe software and other applications that use it (kind of like Flash).

Some programs use it as a cross platform run time tool, yes. Just run the app. It will occasionally ask you to update Adobe Air, but other than that you shouldn't worry about it.

Something's wrong. If you have Air installed, Tweet Deck should just launch. It sounds like you're clicking on some support file and then trying to open it with Adobe Air, which won't get you anywhere.

Are you trying to use the latest version of TweetDeck? If so, it doesn't require Adobe Air. After Twitter acquired TweetDeck, they had it re-built in html5.

Since it's re-built in html5, perhaps it's asking for a browser?
Honestly, once Tweetdeck is installed, it should just be asking for your Twitter login. I'm not really sure why it's asking for an app.
