Glowing Kittens Fight Feline AIDS - ScienceNOW
I'm excited that they're making progress with FIV/HIV. When I was 9-years-old, we had to have all four of our cats put down because they all contracted FIV.
On a side note, having a glowing cat would be beneficial to my lower extremities by not stepping on the cat at night.

Awesome, the possibilities are endless:
- hang a kittie from a pole - free street light
- duct tape a kittie to your car - free low beams
- nail a kittie to your ceiling - free ceiling lights

They need to be more specific with where the glow manifests. The eyes should glow more than the rest of them.

It's kind of creepy that the eyes DON'T glow actually. At least it looks that way in the pic.
As pointed out in the comments the anti-AIDS remedy doesn't have to be tied to the glow gene but I had an image of legions of glowing humans and what kind of social ramifications that would have. It would certainly be hard to sneak up on people in the dark.
