Ok, so I have to stay home all day waiting on a delivery. I have finished all my school work. No cleaning or anything really needs to be done. Not in the mood for videogames or something. I've already read a quarter of a novel today so far and dont feel like reading either at the moment. Can't find anything interesting to do on the web. Daytime TV sucks. I guess I'm just especially apathetic right now since I'm trapped here pretty much all day by myself.

What do you guys do when you're bored? (besides MacNN!)

It's been quite a while since I've had the luxury of being bored. I try and have little projects to work on. Like right now I'm building a Keytar. But I only get to do that during study breaks.

Read a book
Play video games
Watch TV (one plus to getting everything from iTunes is that you don't have to watch daytime TV)
Sit on the internet

Try and expand your sexual horizons by masterbating to something odd.

Like a picture of Eric Estrada or a muffler.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

I know what you mean, with 80 hours work/week. There are moments that I'm not "coming up with last-minute desperate solutions to impossible problems created by other f*cking people." But being bored? Haven't been for months, if not longer.

I haven't had the time to be bored in a while, but if my memory serves me correctly, it was something along the lines of ort888's insightful wisdomal offering.

(But without Eric Estrada, a muffler, and Uranus. Instead, a couple of barely legal young ladies, a shoehorn, and 10 pounds of al dente fettucine...)

No, not really.... I guess I read when I'm bored, or write, in this case.

Just experiment with different hobbies — preferably ones where you can feel productive rather than like you're just passing time. Find ones you actually feel passionate about and you'll never be bored.

I only wish I could draw. My handwriting is so atrocious, and I don't even know where to begin at drawing.

No offense, but browsing and posting on MacNN a couple thousand times qualifies as free time to me.

I don't have a great deal of free time either, but between work/school/social obligations, there is still time here and there where I sometimes just can't figure out what to do. I feel like I've wasted a day if all I've done is either watch tv/play video games/ read/ web browsing.

It's taken me 6 years to do that. I do most of it while I'm at work, waiting on code to compile.

I wasn't picking on you. Just saying, people who claim to have "no free time!!!" are usually full of BS...I mean, once again no offense, but are you at work right now waiting on code to compile? If so, then I'm a jackass, but otherwise it means that you are not completely busy at the moment, or at least not busy enough not to "know what free time is."

Drawing is just a lazy form of writing, so you should be fine.

Depends on how lethargic I feel.

Play SupCom, or EVE Online. Listen to music, read a book. Go to the gym/beach/hiking.

I can't remember the last time I was bored. It was probably over 10 years ago, sometime before the Internet was popular.
