Frustrating Day so far!

I have a MDD G4 that I use OS X the majority of my time.

This morning I needed to boot into system 9 to get some scans done..

went to the System Prefs specified my System 9 folder and rebooted..

at reboot I am getting the flashing question mark. will no boot into System 9 for whatever reason..

but now I can't get back into OS X either..

since my OS9 and OS X are on the same partition, when I hold down the option key at startup it only shows my OS9 system folder.

the software restore disks that came with the machine do not have a bootable system 9 on them, so I can't access a classic startup disk control panel.

I was able to boot from my OSX install CD, but don't see anything that I can use to change my startup disk.

anyone else have a suggestion for getting this back into OS X? only thing I can think of is to run the OS X installer again. which really blows.

thanks

hold down 'x' on boot (or maybe cmd-x, I forget).

that will select your OS X system if it and 9 are on the same partition.
