I have decided to go with ps3 over 360 because of blu-ray and built in wi-fi, and the games i want are available on both systems. I really want more than 40gb storage though. Are there any new models due out soon? If not I'd be willing to pay $299 for the 40gb any chance of the price dropping soon?

You can easily swap out the internal hard drive and swap it out with your own laptop-size hard drive for a significant bump in storage capacity. Other than that, you'll probably see them start to include the Dualshock 3 as part of standard equipment at some point.

well just read on engadget there is a new sku for $499 with 80 gb drive and MGS4. I'd rather pay $399 for this, that'd sell tons of systems, then drop the 20gb to $299. Come on Sony are you listening?

The MGS4 bundle is a great time to buy if you're already a Metal Gear Solid fan. It will include an 80 gb ps3, a dualshock 3 controller, a copy of MGS4, and to top it all off, the ps3 box with the wonderful mgs4 artwork.
The white ceramic ps3 with dualshock controller, and the corresponding black one with dualshock controller, are also rumored to be coming out shortly. You should wait until then b/c the dualshock 3 controllers not only have the functionality of the current sixaxis controller, but they also have incorporated all that rumble technology as with the ps2. For those of you hiding under a rock, the reason why the controllers haven't had that up to this point was b/c the rumble technology was being fought over in a lawsuit between Sony and some company called Immersion who had patent rights to it. blah blah blah...

Or after losing patience after having to replace dying Xboxes 3X over due to the Red Ring of Death.

Hopefully the DS3 edition (ceramic white) comes out later this month, as rumored on some other websites. Or maybe April.
