AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRG SCREW ITUNES MUSIC STORE SORRY IM PISSED OFF HERE


it appears that i cant convert these mpeg-4 to mp3 in itunes because the files are protected wtf chuck??!! so now what i want ot play these files on my stereo which only plays mp3s im never buying anying from itunes music store AGAIN!


anways im just venting theers no excuse for me to go thru this trouble of converting mpeg-4 files i dont know if someone whos reading this can shed some bright light my way to show me what i can do to tackle this problem of converting protected files to mp3 i would greatly apprec it

You can't convert protected files. There's a program that removes the DRM from iTunes AAC files, but it doesn't work with files purchased/downloaded from iTunes 6.0 and up.

What you can do is burn them to an audio CD, then rip that CD as MP3. There will be a loss of quality.

What Aphfex said. Use the HIGHEST MP3 bitrate available and the loss of quality won't be noticable (to most people on most people's equipment-some people can tell when a gnat's burp is filtered out in this process ), though the files will be larger. I do this to backup my iTunes purchases all the time (of course I rip my CDs at 320kbps all the time too, so it's no big deal the results are big files).
