I've been on Flickr constantly lately, and wondered how many other MacNN users are using it. Is there anyone else out there who is a Flickr addict that would want to add other members as contacts?

I've seen the quality of a lot of the shots you guys have posted, and I'd like to see more of them. Checking them out on Flickr seems like a better way of doing that than posting them in a thread here.

If any of you guys n' gals are interested, add me as a contact.

I'm at http://www.flickr.com/photos/shifuimam/. (Big shock, using shifuimam as my Flickr username...)

Except now you'll know what I look like, and the hot geek chick persona I hold on the Internets will be dashed forever. Oh SNAP.

Most of mine are private too, but you're keeping all 2290 of them private?

I'm not hawt like iJustine, though. I'm not 400lbs like many geek chicks, but I think you can safely draw the line at that.

Let's post our favourite pics by other members to keep it interesting

I have no idea what's going on here Starman, but I like it:

I like the dog picture above the best, but this one is great too Jawbone. Excellent framing, expression and colours:

Okay, here it goes...

I've been going through everyone's shots forever.

I love lightning photos, so naturally I'm glad Erik's developed this quest for the perfect lightning shot.

I love PEZ, The Incredibles, and this picture.

More proof that monkeys absolutely rock:

Sweet...

Worth pointing out for the excellent color...

Love the lighting and the wrinkles.

Magical place, isn't it? I had a great hot dog and a great time watching them play the Red Sox last summer. I'm a Red Sox fan though, so I got harrassed a bit; it got scary (but that's another story)...

I have to say....

shifuimam...1,479 photos??? Wow! Making use of that pro account, aren't you?

Looks like a kid pretending to be on TV...

The story behind this picture is just creepy, but cool.

What is this?

I'd like to go one day...

Sweet mood here...

Sorry I messed up the image links earlier...I'll try to go back and fix them...

I didn't realize you have make the extra step and select the medium size option.

[EDIT] Fixed all but the first. Missed it somehow, and don't feel like hunting.

I have to post more pics. Truth be told, I don't use iPhoto that much. I just started using it recently and bought the iFlickr uploader but I have several years worth of pictures to organize which I don't have a lot of time for.

I found out recently that being an AT&T DSL subscriber gives me free flickr pro...so yeah, I'm uploading everything I have.

What is this?
That would be a sculpture by Tom Otterness. Indianapolis got some big grant to have a bunch of his sculptures displayed around downtown Indy for like six months. It was a popular thing.

Only had a quick few minutes to look today, but here are some favourites:

Jawbone - Perfect capture. Great mood and lighting:

Erik - The look on the little guy's face says it all:

Railhead - This has almost a miniature feel to it. Awesome:

cszar - Hilarious:

Well done all!

Ah yes, the run of photos where I was bored with my then-boyfriend taking pics of the river, so I started taking stupid pictures of myself.

I used to use Flickr, but I just wasn't that satisfied.

I like smugmug a lot more. Unfortunately my smugmug pages reveal too much personal information and, as has been my experience in the past, revealing that info is plain idiotic.

Smugmug is easier and more customizable for the professional photographer. You'll find less shots of people's empty apartments and .5 mega-pixel phone cam bar shots.

Smugmug is cheaper too. Just tell them you're coming from Flickr and they'll give you 50% off. And they give all non-profit organizations free life-time pro accounts (worth $150/yr.).

But believe it or not, I forgot to bring my camera(s). They were still waiting for me at the table back home. Oh well. I still had a great time touring the wineries, glow worm cave and cheese factory

Thanks for highlighting some of my photos, even if they weren't among my personal favourites.
