Chopsticks for Better Cloning

This work can be done much better in Oriental hands," Hwang told Nature Medicine. "We can pick up very slippery corn or rice with the steel chopsticks."

Its true, chops sticks are super fun to use, and make eating more enjoyable. Everyone I know tends to eat slower, and actually enjoys their food better, when using chop sticks.

I think the statements were meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

I like asian food and I'm an asian, but I'm rather poor at using chopsticks. And yes, I've eaten sushi with a fork.

it's ok... it's not entirely your fault. it could be something called collective stupidity.

better or worse, is a relative measure.

It's considered very rude to eat sushi with your hands until you get to a certain stage in the meal. That said, I'm not Asian but I love Asian food and use chopsticks to eat at least 3 or 4 times a week.
Few things as good as spicy pad thai or a steaming bowl of pho, chopsticks in one hand, spoon in the other. Of course, this past weekend, I started off with chop sticks but went for the hands model on crab bee hoon. Delicious. Best Sri Lankan crab I've ever had and the bee hoon (kinda like vermicelli) was also top-notch.

How to eat sushi:

Clean your hands by using an oshibori (hot towel).
Put soy sauce for dipping in the small dish.
Mix a bit of wasabi (Japanese horse radish) with the soy sauce if you want. Since wasabi is already placed in each sushi piece, you don't need to do this.
When you eat nigiri-zushi (hand-pressed sushi), pick up one sushi piece between your thumb and middle finger, putting the index finger on top.
Dip the end of the neta (ingredients/fish slices side) into the soy sauce.(not the rice part)
Bring the sushi to your mouth and bite in half.
Before your next bite, again dip the neta side in the soy sauce.
When you eat maki-zushi(rolled sushi), place the whole piece in your mouth if you can. Maki-zushi falls apart easily when you bite.

I'm going to start washing my hands with wasabi

I love asian food but chop sticks are hopeless IMHO. I can eat with them but I really prefer not to, fork+knive+spoon is much more comfortable.
