I ran the system updater in Leopard today and have "Little Snitch" installed to allow me to watch incoming/outgoing network traffic from my laptop.
The updater makes a query to a non-apple address. Does anyone have an idea *why* they would do this? The domain edgesuite.net at its root level just looks like many parked-domains used to increase links for google-rank.
Any insight would be helpful. Here's a screenshot of Little Snitch and its notification window.
the domain has apple in the name, but the update supplied is related to updating the login and keychain which is directly related to security. What is the chance of this being a security issue with Apple?
