Is anyone else getting an SSL certificate trust dialogue pop up for trafficformoney when they come to Macnn recently? Is that supposed to happen?

Thorzdad was seeing it, but I figured it for a Comcast ad injection. We should only have google adsense today. I haven't seen it, so can't trace it back to any page code.

I wasn't sure it was Macnn triggering it until today. Next time I see it I'll get more info.

I'm more interested in where in our page code it's appearing. Source comments should bracket what template it's inserting into.

It's almost certainly some vestigial ad code, which I can delete. But I haven't found any more old code to zap.

That sounds like a bonus.

So I have reloaded multiple pages with and without ad block and cannot replicate this ad. Being that I am running off AT&T then Reader may be correct that it is an ISP based ad injection. I'm trying to see if there is any funkiness from TFM site itself but it isn't getting any hits other than just being a site you can sign up to as a referral. Essentially a data mining site.

For those using Comcast, try using a VPN and see if you get the same issue. It'll help narrow it down.

I only get the cert request every so often. Once a day maybe?

@War, those are what I'm looking for, thanks. But I don't see anything out of place in those samples, no block of ad code. If you can capture their insert in our code, I can trace the source and zap it. Or prove it's an ad injection from people's ISPs. The "Traffic for Money" you've highlighted is the thread title.

I still haven't seen anything myself. 'NN is whitelisted. Maybe I need to turn off ghostery entirely - an iframe hosted elsewhere could still get processed and blocked.

I searched the page source for "traffic". Perhaps I should just grab the whole page next time?

That would work too. If the ad is present, saving the page source should work.

I've turned everything off in my browser. Getting a lot of ugly banners on other sites, but no 'nn ads yet.

I have no blockers installed and I don't actually see any ads. Just a cert request which then takes me somewhere if I hit continue.
