Just a couple of questions - I've got a K700i, and have bought a D-Link BT 'dongle'. Works fine with iSync, does exactly what it says on the tin. However, with Address Book shouldn't I be able to dial and send SMS from my Mac? I can turn the BT tab on and select 'dial' or 'sms' (and even get to write the SMS and press send) but then nothing happens.

Also, how do I use the phone to access the net on my Mac? Possible? The BT Set-Up assistant asks me for a username, password, GPRS CID String and which modem script I'd like to use. I don't know any of these things - I've never had to select a usename or password for using GPRS internet on my phone, and where does one find the 'CID String'?

Any tips? Thanks!

Not sure why address book isn't working. It should, perhaps try the apple discussion forums with that one.

As for the tinternet thing. Depends on your provider. I'm on orange, there's no user name or password (leave blank). For modem script just use ericsson infrared. As for the CID string well, it could well be just the number 1.

Go to Data Accounts on your phone (or similar place on the K700i, I'm on T68i), Select the account you use to get GPRS access. It should display the CID number. If you've only one data account the CID number might be 1, mines 6.

The telephone number you use for the bluetooth modem is then *99***6# Replace 6 with you CID number. You might have to use a different prefix *99*** bit depending on provider / phone although I think this code is phone specific, and probably common amongst mobiles?

It is working, because I have the same setup. Start Address Book and when you have configured Bluetooth and your phone correctly, you will see a Bluetooth Button. Activate it, then it should work.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

See here for modem scripts and per-provider setup info and here for a step-by-step.
