I was wondering if the folks at the OmniGroup have got any updates coming soon for OmniWeb to address recent security issues with DNS spoofing using foriegn characters. (I forget the correct terminoligy at the moment)

Apple patched Safari and Mozilla.org patched their products so, when will OW get some security love? Maybe you were forward looking enough to not be effected?

Just wondering... any other info you might want to share about upcoming releases would be appreciated as well of course ;-)

Does OmniWeb already support IDNs? Version 5.0 didn't, but I'm not sure about 5.1 at the moment. If it doesn't support IDNs, then it's not affected, just like IE.

It appears to be vulnerable.

Well, their support site claims they are working on a fix. Perhaps you should, I don't know, contact them?

I detected a bit of sarcasm in that last part...

I considered Emailing them but I figured since they used to frequently post here and this is an issue that concerns all users that they might take the opportunity to respond openly.

I wasn't aware that the support site already addressed this as I never had a need to visit it.

Although various Omni people read and sometimes post here,I think the various OmniGroup mailing lists are a more sure-fire way to get timely responses.
