Im working on an illustrator sketch.
Im wondering if i should finish it? Let me know what you think.
Here is a WIP of my BMW M4 Coupe:
Im not sure if i should go on, or start somthing more dynamic.

finish what you've got to get more practice THEN move to something more dynamic. It'll make it even better.

That looks incredible. Is it completely vector-based? I should get around to learning Illustrator some time...

Here is an update.
I worked on the door, mirror, mirror shadow, and rear fender.
Monday i think ill tackle the other mirror and roof line. Maybe the A and B pillars.
Edit: oh i forgot i did parts of the windows and started the front wheel.
.
KerVit i think your right. Ill finish this one. Then ill go on to something a little more fresh.
@MaxPower2k3: Yeh its 100% Illustrator. The lights and wheels will be a pain.. im thinking of BMW Angel eyes, and disc brakes.. we'll see though.
Thanks for replying guys.

If you stop I'll be coming over there and kicking your azz. This is a mighty fine looking illustration.
Does it need work? Yes, but you've already figured out the hardest parts. From here it's just tweaks and picks. I suspect you know what the are so there's no need to bust your chops. GREAT JOB.
Keep pushing yourself. You're talented.
The one crit I will offer is that the lines ( on highlights / shadows / etc. ) are your best friend and worst enemy. That's where this thing will be:
A. Off the hook
- or -
B. Fluff
The difference is in your hands.
For reference I suggest you look at the difference between photos in Chrysler ads and BMW / Mercedes ads. The Chrysler stuff looks fake with their overzealous use of retouching. The Germans know how to make a car look sexy and REAL -- whether the piece is produced in the US or in Europe.
PLEASE keep sharing as you go.

Well thanks art_director! All i can say is its no where near done. "The devil is in the details." I live by that quote. After all the illustrator work is done i may take it in to PS for the finishing touches... we will see. As for reference, iv done ads for Chrysler, Ford, and Dodge... But Im more of a BMW/Porsche/"small European sports car" kind of fan. So iv seen all kinds of ads. And i completely understand what your talking about. Thanks for your comment!
And for the rest of you that commented. Even the short comments (like That is stunning, gautch. Nice work, buddy. ) keep me going. As you can tell by the top post I was about to drop this.
Thanks again every one.... And remember to keep checking back for updates.

Exactly!
I really loved your scetch since the first picture but couldn't get over that license plate yet - it has a wrong perspective, or at least needs to be a little bit more lifted at the left side!
(and my english seems to be not good enough to describe the other errors in the front just above the license plate)

So with BMW's announcement of there M6... and how it looks alot like my design.. i ask you all again..
Should i finish?
i know mine is still different in many ways. Its a four seater two door coupe. A bit longer wheel base, and more arrow dynamic... but its a little discouraging when some thing you think is fairly original, turns out to be totaly typical. Oh well. Let me know what you all think..

Don't get discouraged by how much the M6 looks like your image, get ENCOURAGED by it. It shows how realistic your picture is and how close to the BMW design theme you got in your image. Most people attempting what you have done would directly copy parts of existing cars and paste them together to make a car that isn't really original, yours IS original, and realistic. Be proud of that, not discouraged by it!

It'll be much easier if you just comply.
