I just saw the iPOD mini offers in Apple's refurbished store. Are there any other (web-)stores still selling those?

I still don't know if i don't like the Mini better than the Nano, anyone else considers buying an iPOD Mini?

I have one. I bought it used. The first 2 months, I had a blast (it was my first), but then the battery life went down the drain.

I like my mini... I have friends that have the nano, and the color screen is very cool, but IMHO, it's all about the music.

i have both, and they're equally as good. colored screen or not, they are equal (hey i'm no "iPodist" ) my bad joke alarm just went off. anyways, if you don't care about the colored screen or the fact that it's not the most up-to-date then a mini will be just dandy

Refurbished 4 GB Nano: $169
Refurbished 4 GB Mini: $149

No contest: get the Nano. Much more rugged, hence longer-lasting. Check out the torture test that arstechnica put the Nano through:

http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/nano.ars/3

One drop of the Mini and the HD could be dead.

Other significant pluses:

- lightweight (can easily be worn on a lanyard, great for exercising)
- smaller, easily concealed (use a black marker to darken the distinctive earbuds)
