I just recently bought a new 1gb stick for my imac. (2gb total now) My question is (this may be dumb) can I put my stock 512mb stick from my imac in my MBP?

I ask because they both use ddr2 pc2-5300. I went on Kingston website and when you look up the memory for both the imac and MBP, they are the same. I just want to double check if this is ok.

Assuming that's an Intel iMac you pulled it from, yes.
