Installed it, and here's some of my first looks.

[ see my screengrab here ]

-Very nice indeed
-the "traffic lights" aren't very obvious (too dark?)
-the time and battery level in the menu bar is black, and they only turn white when I click on them

Other than these, I feel that this is a very nice theme

[edit: changed the file format to jpg so it's smaller]

After you use Grab to take the screenshot, open the screenshot using Preview.

Under Preview, go to File -> Export and select JPEG or JPG and the file size will be reduced.

Nice for a dark theme. Problems like black text that is unreadable and high contrast. I think OS X was destined to be a light colored OS.

some feedback...
overall really nice. the black text IS hard to read...i'd have to install pthclock or something to change the time display to white..
the menubar, the translucent menus...great.
the widgets are okay...not crazy about the jagged edges on the top of them.

the desktop picture is cool...but would be nice to have without "dark glass" text.

great stuff!

Thanks. I'll be keeping you're feedback for an update latter on. Might get a v1.0.1 out before I start any new themes.

That will be one thing to be worked on for sure.

And yes PTH clock is a good idea, I've been using it for a long time now.

The theme looks stunning (except for the widgets), but uninstalled after 5 minutes... waaaay too dark for daily usage... text is unreadable most of the times... but these are my personnal tastes... the overall design is very nice...

Those jaggies look like they might be due to a premultiplication problem. If you didn't design 'em to look like that, check out ImagePreUnMultiplier for a possible fix.

Don't get me wrong, visually it's quite an impressive theme, but as with most dark themes, the strings you have to pull to get light text to show up on a dark background just don't work out the way you expect them to, case in point:

every single instance of formerly black text in my web browser window has now magically decided it wants to be white, despite switching it to black.

I'll reinstall after the next update hopefully but for now it is unusable.

I saw that Izawa posted a fix update to Shinobi that fixed a problem like this. Maybe you could study how he has his text colors and then do the same for Dark Glass?

I really like the theme, but when I am typing in a box to a forum like this using Camino, the text is white and the background is white.

Not very handy.

I've gone back to Shinobi because I do like a dark theme. Fix this problem and I will return to Dark Glass.

it works great...with Safari, Omniweb......BUT Camino has a probem with e-mails & text. When you want to write an e-mail, it's white text in white box. So Camino doesn't work for this dark glass theme.

It's the coollest theme since pxd.

Does anyone know the exact spot in the color index that makes those few apps text white? and where else it would change through out the theme if i did change it? what would turn black that i didn't want to turn black. etc.
