Hi,

Does anyone know of a firewire drive enclosure / interface that'll let you attach your own IDE / ATA hard disk?

do a search and you'll find all that you need.

external firewire enclosures are very common and usually pretty cheap. it is simple enough to buy one and stuff an IDE drive in one. just get the oxford 911 chipset b/c it is faster/better than the older set.
