Just got a new Intellimouse Explorer and I'm having trouble getting any of the buttons or scroll wheel to work. I've tried the Microsoft drivers, XLR8 Point and Scroll Mouse, and USB Overdrive 1.3.7 and none of them give me any functionality of the extra buttons or scroll wheel. I've got a yikes 400 G4 running system 9.0.4. I've been using an Interex usb wheel mouse with the XLR8 softare and everything works fine there...I'm wondering if I have a bad Intellimouse. Help??

The IntelliPoint 1.1 software should work fine. Make sure you have all other mouse software disabled.

If you've done that and it's still not working, return it for another.

Thanks...i thought i had disabled all of the other mouse extensions but i hadn't. By reverting back to just the 9.0.4 extension set and then enabling the intelipoint software i got it working...it's very cool...for a microsoft product!
