Hey everyone,

I have the firmware installed for the superdrive in my Rev A 12 inch PB that doubles the burn speed for cd-r and dvd-r. All works fine.

However, I just installed Panther, and it has found a firmware update from Apple. If I install this, will it cause problems with my drive? And will it revert the superdrive back to its original speed?

im 90% sure it will bumb you down to to default speeds. I doubt it will cause any problems,

Personally I would keep the hacked firmware, unless you start to have problems then I would use the apple firmware
