Apple memory prices are a scam, but the other memory you linked to is for destkops.
1GB isn't much of an upgrade from the 512MB I presume you have. If you have a Core 2 Duo MacBook I'd go with 4GB for $70.

I have the older Macbook and I think max is 1GB (512 MB x 2), where can I get a good deal on some Macbook ram?

Even the first-generation MacBook supports 2GB. Newegg is a good place to get RAM.

Are you sure? My computer has a 2 GHZ Intel Core Duo processor and memory is 512 MB 667 MHZ DDR2 SDRAM. Can I get a link to the ram on Newegg, the selection is overwhelming.

The Apple Store link you provided said second generation so I thought that may mean Core 2 Duo but I wasn't sure.
Heres's 2x1GB at Newegg for $35.
edit: What you found will work, but the Crucial I linked to is cheaper and better IMO.

Crucial is absolutely premium, at least when you buy it direct.

No, but keep the original RAM handy. Sometimes they will ask you to put the factory RAM back in it if you need to send it in for repairs or something.
