Dances with Wolves and Braveheart are my favorite 3 hour movies. 3 hours I mean movies that are longer than the standard 2-hour formula and usually they extend all the way to 3 hours or more.

Anyone else?

Lawrence of Arabia and Schindler's List are also fantastic 3-hour movies.

Apocalypse Now is the only 3 hours film I own.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

The Deerhunter (although I would advocate chopping out about an hour of it, making it a great 2 hour movie )

Seven Samurai (great movie, but couldn't watch it again and again)

Scarface (Is that really 3 hours? That's a great movie!)

As for my personal favorites.

I really enjoyed the extended Two Towers.

And of course, Godfather 1 and Braveheart.

Lord Of The Rings (FOTR ext 208 min, TT ext 222 min) (did I mention I'm going to the pre-premier of ROTK yet? )

Magnolia 188 min

The Kingdom II 286 min (it's really a mini-series but they showed it all at the theatre for a total running time of 5 and a half hour (including a break in the middle). The time flew away.

Dogville 177 min (Just short of the mark).
