I had the HD in by iBook upgraded a few months back from the stock 40gig to a 5400rpm 120gig drive. It's still got the same 1Gb RAM in it but the performance seems much slower. Is there anything I can try and test to see if there is something affecting performance, surely the faster drive should make the machine quicker not slower.

The performance on the whole seems much worse, I'm only generally using for web, music, and some photoshop (but not alot)

I'm planning on sticking a 1GB chip in to max the RAM out but can't afford to do that just yet.
